01 · The agreement
These terms govern your use of Crowtado.com, the Crowtado mobile app, and the contributor network. By creating an account or signing a brief, you agree to them.
Crowtado is operated by Crowtado, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its press office at 320 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
02 · Your account
You must be 18 or older to contribute. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your sign-in credentials private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that submit fabricated content, misrepresent geography, or violate the consent obligations described in section 04.
03 · Contributing content
When you submit a voice clip, video, image, or other media to Crowtado, you grant Crowtado a worldwide, royalty-free license to catalog, distribute, and sublicense that submission to enterprise customers under the rights-cleared terms attached to the brief.
You retain ownership of your underlying creative work. The license is bounded by the consent form you signed for that specific brief and may be revoked under section 06.
04 · Consent obligations
You must obtain consent from any identifiable individual who appears in your submission, in writing, on the consent template provided by Crowtado. The template is available in 14 languages.
You must not submit content depicting minors, persons under duress, or any individual who has not freely consented. Crowtado will reject and may terminate accounts for violations.
05 · Payouts
Crowtado pays for approved submissions according to the rate posted on the brief at the time of submission. Approval is at the discretion of the QA team and follows the rubric posted in the contributor handbook.
Funds are released to your selected payout rail within 24 hours of approval. Median total transit time, brief to bank, is 21 hours. We do not charge contributors for payouts.
06 · Revocation
You may revoke a submission at any time. Revoked submissions are removed from active distribution within 30 days. Already-delivered copies remain governed by the customer's license but receive no further updates.
Crowtado retains a redacted record of revoked submissions for audit and dispute resolution.
07 · Customer use
Enterprise customers receive a license to use Crowtado data for the purposes described in their order form, typically the training and evaluation of machine learning models.
Customers may not redistribute raw Crowtado data, attempt to re-identify contributors, or use the data in ways that violate applicable law.
08 · Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that submissions will be approved or that any specific contributor will earn a specific amount.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crowtado's aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts paid to or by you in the preceding 12 months, or (b) US $100.
09 · Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration under the AAA commercial rules, except where prohibited by your local law.
Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property disputes.
10 · Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via email and the dashboard. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Older versions are archived and available on request from the press office.
